Security today is paramount to business continuity. On a daily basis you will need to think about your code security and how that impacts on the security of the platform. All code you push for release will be reviewed and scanned for security vulnerabilities.
You will be required to learn about all vulnerabilities and be able to demonstrate your ability to exploit and protect from those vulnerabilities.
The technologies of today will not be the technologies of tomorrow and so without continual investment in learning and finding new ways of solving problems, we'll fall behind. Its imperative that you don't become attached to "the way I do things". We believe in continual iteration and growth through communication and leadership with your peers.
We believe in pro-active communication, without it we don't learn, grow or understand the big picture. Every day you'll have the opportunity to talk to the team via daily stand-ups but also work cross-functionally with the wider business to ensure business success.
On a daily basis you'll be assigned as a reviewer on pull requests, ensuring the code complies with PSR1/2 coding standards, security policy whilst considering performance and complexity.
Productivity and Quality
All work that you complete will go through review. Your performance will be measured upon the quality of your pull request through conformance with company and technical policies and standards. If you commit code, you put your name on it and you'll be measured against that. Conversely, you will also be measured against productivity. Great code is excellent, but if it takes you too long to produce that code, that it also counter productive.
