WHAT WE DO

 

The Finance Department has responsibility for all aspects of financial and management reporting, taxation, cash management and treasury for the worldwide business.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

The focus of this role is to lead the management accounting function for our UK and US business. You will report directly into the Group Financial Controller.

 

What Will I be Doing?

 

  • Manage and train a team of 4 Management accountants
  • Own the Income statement, Balance Sheet, Cashflow statement and monthly group consolidation
  • Review and produce balance sheet reconciliations
  • Reconciliation of monthly intercompany balances including reviewing FX and posting of journals.
  • Post relevant journals for the monthly reporting.
  • Ensure all accounting adheres to group policies
  • Assisting in preparation of the year end schedules ready for the audit.
  • Assisting in the review of processes, procedures and policies
  • Deputise for the Group Financial Controller in their absence
  • Undertaking any other duties which may be requested by the Line Manager

WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED FOR THE ROLE?

  • Must be fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Previous team management experience
  • Experience in management accounts & statutory accounts
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS
  • Strong background in consolidation entries.
  • Eye for detail and ability to identify errors.
  • Great communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, commercially focused environment and able to adapt to change quickly
  • Disciplined approach to production and documentation of work.
