WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

The Finance Department has responsibility for all aspects of financial and management reporting, taxation, cash management and treasury for the worldwide business.

 

THE ROLE:

 

As Group Management Accountant you will be an essential part of the Finance team for the global operations of AllSaints, supporting & implementing the Financial Accounting and Reporting agenda across the globe. The role will ensure the provision of financial information for internal & external reporting is timely, accurate and compliant with IFRS.

As you will be working with teams across the world you will be need to be a natural at building strong relationship quickly across all levels.
You will report directly into the Finance Manager and sit within the Finance team.  

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

 

  • Preparing Intercompany reconciliations across multiple Companies & Currencies
  • Reconciliation of all subsidiary prepared records to group management accounts including posting adjustments to reflect the transition from local GAAP to IFRS
  • Ensuring the Group financial accounting policies are maintained and updated to reflect the accounting and reporting requirements across different jurisdictions
  • Ownership of the consolidation process and preparation of consolidated financial statements
  • Ownership of all statutory reporting for International subsidiaries within the group including the preparation of any Branch returns required by local Tax Authorities
  • Ownership of finance system controls such as chart of accounts, opening/closing periods
  • Reconciling reserves (distributable and non-distributable) to ensure items are classified appropriately
  • Ensuring the business is provided with sound and clear technical accounting guidance (including written technical accounting papers) on any matter arising including the impact of changes to IFRS standards on the Group (e.g. transition from IAS 17 to IFRS 16)
  • Supporting the roll out of a robust Financial Accounting and Reporting control environment that adheres to the group policies and embeds best practice across the business
  • Providing support to the finance team (locally and globally)
  • Posting relevant journals for the monthly reporting

WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED FOR THE ROLE?

  • Newly qualified accountant (preferably ACA or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS
  • Strong background in completing and reviewing consolidations
  • Previous audit experience (with complex consolidations)
  • Experience of working with a global business trading in various currencies
  • Experience of technical accounting, with proven capability to communicate Financial Reporting requirements to various stakeholders
  • Demonstrate being curious, inquisitive and robust with a drive to improve financial accounting discipline within a business
  • Desire to drive improvements in the end-to-end financial accounting and reporting process
  • Eye for detail and ability to identify errors
  • A collaborative team player
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, commercially focused environment and able to adapt to change quickly
  • Disciplined approach to production and documentation of work
