  • WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

     

    THE ROLE

     

    Managing a team and reporting directly into the Head of Retail Merchandising for North America. The Merchandiser will be responsible for the merchandising function across over a varied store portfolio, developing profiling to make sure budgets and KPIs are exceeded.  Applying your entrepreneurial spirit you will take full ownership of the Menswear Planning department bringing fresh ideas to the table whilst developing and pushing your team forward. You will have tight control over the management of stock and have a strong background in working with WSSIs, sale forecasting and BTA’s to over deliver against the targeted sell through and EBITDA.

     

    WHAT WILL I BE DOING

    • Lead, manage and develop your retail merchandising team working closely with peers to help create a best in class merch function.
    • Deliver the planned sales and profitability of your department by managing and optimizing the categories through effective planning and trading.
    • Planning budgets and presenting sales forecasts and figures to management team.
    • Regular analysis of department performance to maximize commercial opportunities.
    • Through strategic planning and trading of the department manage the intake and OTB to deliver the inventory targets for the department and the brand.
    • Working extremely close with the Branch Merchandising function to deliver the most appropriate range for the various channel needs.
    • Working in conjunction with the Product Merchandising team to ensure the brand commercially delivers.
    • Lead and be heavily involved in ad-hoc projects across the merchandising team and business.
    • Develop current systems and processes that are in place and be instrumental in implementing best practices.
    • Building relationships across the brand and external partners.

    WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED FOR THE ROLE?

    • Proven track record of driving a department through creative thinking as a Merchandiser, with specific experience within a full price, fast paced environment.
    • Extensive experience working in the fashion retail industry, dealing with multiple products categories with exposure to international markets as an advantage.
    • Able to demonstrate a commercial aptitude and pragmatic approach to working.
    • Stock management skills are essential as is having established your experience working with WSSIs, sales forecasting and BTAs.  
    • Strong organizational skills, able to use initiative, and be agile in a fast paced and ever changing environment.
    • Able to communicate at all levels within the brand in a professional way.
    • Ability to lead, manage and develop a team.
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills whilst able to prioritize work load accordingly.
    • An energetic, can do and positive attitude.
    • Remains calm under pressure and leads by example.
    • Advanced Excel skills.
    • International market experience is seen as an advantage but not a requirement.
