  • WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

    • Ensure the Brand integrity of the Company is reflected at all times and exemplifies Brand values when making decisions.
    • Payroll Manager is responsible for processing payroll and all payroll audits for the Corporate office, Distribution Center and stores locations across US and Canada.
    • Ensure efficient and quality assistance to all service requests from current and past employees.
    • Ensure complete and accurate data entry and timekeeping.
    • Review and approve funding processes for net payroll, payroll taxes, and all deductions. 
    • Coordinate and monitor accounting related payroll functions, including general ledger interface and account reconciliations. 
    • Responsible for establishing and adhering to all year-end and year-begin processes, according to most current payroll regulations. 
    • Primary responsibility will include preparation and processing of weekly payroll for approximately 1000 employees.
    • Process off-cycle pay calculations and maintain appropriate documentation.
    • Audit data in HRIS system to ensure benefits, hours, rates, hierarchies, accruals, etc, are set up and administered properly.
    • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations and ensure that all state. provided tax documentation is properly handled and processed in collaboration with our payroll provider.
    • Preparation of weekly payroll forecasts and analyses, assist Finance with G/L monthly closings and financial statement preparation, and special projects as assigned.
    • Ensure accuracy of payroll processing including hours calculations, manual check calculations, process adjustments, reimbursement and refunds and void checks.
    • Ensure employee pay rules are set up appropriately for accurate time off accruals.
    • Enforce payroll guidelines, policies, and procedures. 
    • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports for accounting reconciliations.
    • Audit payroll processes to ensure compliance with payroll wage and hour laws and regulations and provide recommendation for processes updates as needed to remain in compliance. 
    • Provide support for audits and tax filings, quarterly and year-end processes such as W-2 and W-2c forms.

    WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED FOR THE ROLE?

    • Minimum 5 years leading the payroll process and function in a multi-state environment
    • Excellent communication, analytical, problem solving and solid follow up skills.
    • Team player and self-starter, with strong interpersonal abilities.
    • Technically competent, highly organized and works effectively with all levels of staff and management.
    • Highly proficient using Microsoft Office and Google Platforms
    • Experience using Dayforce/Ceridian platform
    • Excellent organization and project management skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication. 
    • Ability to multi-task, time manage and be flexible.
    • Strong customer service attitude and ability to work with all levels of the organization from store team to executive team.
    • Ability to react quickly to a changing environment or direction, delivering results effectively and with pace.
    • Use sound judgment and make key decisions when needed.
    • Can work independently and in a team environment.
    • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with a willingness to flex schedule based on needs of business.
