    As a senior iOS developer, you will be walking into a dynamic and fast paced environment where you will be responsible for designing and building advanced applications for the iOS platform, while collaborating with teams to define and ship new features. You will be the main contact for operational issues,as well as improving application performance. You will strive to continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximise development efficiency.

     

    You will be working with a motivated and friendly team where you will be able to continuously develop and progress in your role. You will need to be able to work to a high standard under pressure as well as prioritising tasks, as requirements are consistently evolving. You will be responsible for mentoring and coaching less senior team members.

     

    Design

    • Working with both our digital and retail departments to increasing conversion through customer focused features
    • Working closely with the UX / design teams to maintain brand coherence  
    • Ensure all designs continue to benefit from your industry knowledge and experience
    • A sharp eye for detail, as well as being completely thorough on user journey pain points
    • Relate all updates and designs to the end users but ensure all key stakeholders have ample opportunity to provide input and rounds of testing

    Innovation

    • Suggest creative solutions to challenges, including but not limited to driving engagement with content, conversion and brand experience
    • Liaise with senior development team to create a pipeline for application modifications and improvements
    • Management of a user experience driven list of assumptions to enable effective prioritisation of  development for design lead site/mobile/app updates
    • Continue developing our understanding of the AllSaints customer through persona management and provide clarity of their voice within meetings

    Ownership

    • Facilitating requirements gathering in project workshops
    • Presenting solutions and communicating updates to AllSaints senior board
    • Ownership of the quality of coding language, adhering to our own standard of practise
    • Review competitors and keep up-to-date with the mobile trends to constantly improve the look and feel of our applications
    • Ensuring assigned project are delivered both on spec and of the highest quality
    • Deliver results under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

    WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED FOR THE ROLE?

    Essential Skills & Experience

    • In addition to the appropriate mobile development language (swift), must also have knowledge of native (objective C) coding and interfacing with higher level languages
    • 4+ years commercial experience
    • Experience of CocoaPods
    • Proven working experience in software development
    • Experience with JIRA, GIT and similar development tools
    • Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
    • Knowledge of the principles of Test Driven Development on iOS and the benefits that are realised.
    • Knowledge of design patterns
    • Knowledge and experience of REST APIs
    • Understanding and experience in using MDM
    • Experience using profiling tools and optimisation techniques
    • Making complex and custom UI in Interface builder using Autolayout

     

    Desirable Skills

    • Experience in e-commerce application
    • Experience with AWS and simple notification service
    • Deploying to AppStore and via enterprise channels
